Battery trouble on my 2015 Suzuki V-Strom 1000

Thought I was in the clear, but turns out the battery post snapped clean off on my V-Strom. Wires are still hanging on, but it's not attached to the battery itself. The thing holds a charge on the tender but looks like I'll be making a trip for a new one. Ever had this happen?

On another note, I need a starter switch assembly. Listings show prices all over the place and Parts Direct seems vague. Anyone know where I can grab just the switch without paying for unnecessary extras?

This sounds like a new battery is the way to go. as for the starter switch, maybe check local dealers or online sellers that specialize in OEM parts? I think some places let you buy just the switch without the full assembly. Hope you find a good deal!

Why does it seem so hard to find just the switch without being forced to buy the whole assembly?

@hyrd0flax88 thanks for the tip. A new battery is a done deal at this point. I'll search for an online OEM specialist for that switch. It's worth a shot to save a few bucks.

@Folayo it's frustrating when you know it's just a simple switch but they want you to buy half the handlebar. They really have you over a barrel.
