Talk me out of a 2018 V-Strom 1000?

So I found a 2018 V-Strom 1000 that I'm dangerously close to buying. It's got 12k miles, a killer color scheme, and some tasteful upgrades like an upgraded air cleaner and a Leo Vince exhaust. I can't get it out of my head so maybe I could use some solid advice from members here.

Honestly, I was surprised by how much I liked it. I thought it would feel like a big, top-heavy beast, but it felt incredibly balanced and way more manageable than my old KLR. The seat was tall, but I could still get a foot down, and the center of gravity felt super low. The V-twin felt really impressive, like an absolute monster! It's got power everywhere, and it just wants to go. Smooth fueling, super comfortable at highway speeds, and then you twist the throttle and it just launches. The whole bike just feels like it was built for long-distance comfort and tearing up back roads. It's got all the goodies too, like the quick shifter, cruise control, heated grips, and a big TFT display!

The dealer offered me a great deal and it's been really tempting. But I want to be objective and ask if there might be some good reasons not to do it. Tell me about common issues, hidden problems, ownership costs, or anything else I should inspect before I put some money down. Anything I might be missing here?

That motor is tough, but @r0dd_rider keep in mind that the bike is on the heavier side if you ever want to take it off pavement. While the maintenance isn't outrageous unlike what many expect, valve checks can unfortunately get pricey around the 15k mark.

Good point @SANSA, the V-Strom 1000 is a tank compared to something like a KLR, so off-road maneuvering can be tricky. @r0dd_rider Also double-check service history and maybe budget a little for valve adjustments down the road, otherwise it sounds like a sweet ride.
